An estimating range method for anti-helicopter acoustic detection

Anti-Helicopter Acoustic Detection Equipment(AHADE)is used to detect low-flying helicopters.Detection range is one of most important properties for AHADE.In order to determine the detection range accurately,the detection results and airborne data could be analyzed comprehensively.The mentioned method requires many operators and equipment, including airborne equipment.It's complicated in the beginning of RD on AHADE.This paper presents a simple and effective algorithm for estimating the detection range of AHADE. With minimal restriction on flight parameters,it works without airborne equipment.Compared with real detection range,the error is about 7%.
