Algebraic design of full-order flux observer for IPMSM position sensorless control

This paper proposes an algebraic design of a full-order observer for position sensorless control of Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (IPMSMs). First, this paper describes the proposed flux model for position sensorless control of IPMSMs, which can approximately estimate maximum torque control frame. Next, this paper proposes an algebraic design of full-order observer based on the proposed flux model. This paper also addresses a design guideline to suppress sensitivity of mismatches in some parameters. Finally, some experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
