The limit condition of some time between failure models of software reliability

Abstract The limit conditions of the Schick-Wolverton, Geometric and Musa models of software reliability are analysed and discussed. Together with the Jelinski-Moranda model, whose limit condition was revealed earlier, the character of the TBF model of software reliability are further clarified. Based on the results, the model selecting test is suggested before using the model for calculation, so as to avoid the meaningless consumption of time.
