Design and implementation of production management information system for an enterprise specialized in centrifugal casting

Production management information system (PMIS) is an important component in manufacturing management. With sufficient demand analysis on a company whose major business is industry furnace, the structure and functions of a PMIS and its related subsystems are developed in this paper. Furnace tube, a key component in furnace, is produced by centrifugal casting. Tested in an actual process of centrifugal casting, the PMIS has played a key role in the optimization of production process and can be used as a guide for production.
