A Wireless Outdoor Fingerprint Locating Method Based on Ray-tracing Model

With the popularization of wireless networks, wireless positioning technology services have met people's positioning needs. How to reduce the cost and improve accuracy of positioning technology is very important. In complex urban environments, network-centric-warfare requires large-scale, portable and inexpensive devices for situational awareness of non-cooperative target sources. In this paper, a fingerprint location algorithm based on KNN classification algorithm is designed and validated. Ray-tracing based channel loss model is adopted in this algorithm for collecting fingerprint database instead of manual collection. Finally, the accuracy of the algorithm is verified by experiment data. The results show that the fingerprint database built with deterministic loss propagation model has a high positioning accuracy.
