RECOMMENDATIONS FOR REPEATED LOAD TRIAXIAL TEST EQUIPMENT AND PROCEDURE FOR UNBOUND GRANULAR MATERIALS

The triaxial test can be considered as the only in-laboratory test to determine the mechanical behaviour of unbound granular materials, for pavement use. Recommendations for equipment and test procedure are made on the basis of apparatuses used in the different laboratories of the Science project and the works performed during it. The procedures are provided in order to determine both the resilient and the permanent strain development. Behaviour models are proposed in both cases. For the covering abstract see IRRD 883133.
