Research and Development of the Numerical Simulation Technology about Filling Process with Semi-Solid Metallic Materials

The Lagrange methods and Euler methods used in the numerical simulation on filling process with semi-solid metallic materials have been summarized. Also some models of apparent viscosity used at the present have been introduced. Besides, the research development of this field has also been expatiated in details, it suggested that the simulation on the filling process with semi-solid metallic materials should take into account many factors such as boundary conditions and segregation. An attempt is then made to forecast the research direction in the future, including the creation model, the simulation of all the forming process and the simulation of all kinds of the forming technologies.
