According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for displaying a visual object on a video includes: setting a visual effect region to a portion of a video; applying a predetermined visual effect to the visual effect region; and displaying a visual object on the visual effect region applied with the visual effect. Therefore, by differentiating the visual object from the video, visibility and design aesthetics of the visual object may be improved.
