Reactive Power Optimization of Power System Based on Adaptive Immune Algorithm

Aimed at reactive power optimization of power system, an adaptive immune algorithm (AIA), which automatically adjusts the parameters according to the value of the distance between antibodies, is proposed. This algorithm, based on the colony's diversity, adjusts selecting rateα, cloning radius r, and mutation radius R to achieve the fast convergence without falling in the local minimum point. The test results indicate that AIA leads to the optimization of calculation speed and convergence. For IEEE14 system, compared with genetic and immune algorithm, its convergence was improved by 8% and calculation time reduced by 55 s, compared with improved immune algorithm, its convergence was improved by 2% and calculation time reduced by 0. 5 s. For IEEE118 system, compared with genetic and immune algorithm, its convergence was improved by 5% and cal-culation time reduced by 493 s and 336 s, respectively, compared with improved immune algorithm, its conver-gence was improved by 3% and calculation time reduced by 26 s.
