An Iterative Equalization of Holographic Storage Channel

The performance of data storage channel may be decreased when many uncertain factors exist in the storage system, which will lead the BER to an increase. The data are accessed according to two-dimensional format. Many noises and the influence come from the adjoin data can distort the current data signal value in holographic data storage channel (HDSC). The conventional linear method of equalization can't be adapted to the nonlinear channel such as HDSC. It is imperative to find out a new method to resolve the problem. In this paper, a new iterative method is proposed for enhancing the reliability of the channel in the holographic system based on the linear holographic channel model proposed by our another work. The simulation results show that the method can provide more reliable performance than the original holographic storage channel.
