A simple UHF RFID near-field reader antenna based on micro-stripe transmission line

In this paper, a simple near-field reader antenna applied in UHF (Ultra High Frequency) RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system is proposed using the leaking-wave of the micro-stripe transmission line, which can be used to detect the tags within the near-field zone. As a simple and effective solution, this method can also be designed in different sizes and to be combined to various applications.
