Allergic contact dermatitis due to providone‐iodine

cline 3%) and then with hydrocortisone ( 1%) ointment. He was treated with another emollient and rapidly improved. He was discharged virtually clear. He was patch tested with a supplemented European standard and steroid series (Table 1). He was negative to the standard series but showed multiple positives at D2 and D4 to all the other steroids except hydrocortisone. The steroid series was repeated 4 months later, with cetomacrogol as vehicle (all at 20% ), and 5 months later, with at least 4 em between each test. Both times all the tests were positive except hydrocortisone.
