In the process of engineering construction activities of stone collection lead to lots of breaking belt of exposed hillpits in recent years. This brings unfavorable impacts on urban landscape and natural environment. According to the causes of formation, exposed hillpits are divided into the types of mining pit, excavating slope and collapsed hill, etc. The influence factors of landscape include traffic, area and distance of vision. The conditions of hillpits in Shenzhen city are evaluated by using the landscape effect degree and comprehensive evaluation method. The ecological restoration model and techniques of exposed hillpits are expounded in this paper at last. And the ecological restoration techniques mainly include spray seeding, cage brick, planting pot or groove, continuous spray thread seeding and comprehensive water-saving technique.
