The control strategy of electromagnetic force angle and the maximum of thrust is obtained by considering the characteristics of permanent magnet linear synchronous motor (PMLSM) for vertical movement, and by analyzing its force-displacement properties. The stable motor control is introduced to the maximum of trust control by using this strategy. According to the real motor displacement, electromagnetic force angle of linear motor is directly controlled, and velocity control is realized either. The response speed is quick and the over-regulation is small. So the stability, credibility and running efficiency of vertical transportation system of PMLSM are improved significantly.
