Secure transmission of sensitive data in an automation network

The present invention relates to a method and a network system for communication of confidential data (MD) between a plurality of decentralized data generating producer (P) and a consumer (K) in an automation network. From the producer (P), the following is carried out: - measuring or providing the measurement data (MD) from a plurality of sensors (S) and classifying the measured data (MD) in security levels - Check the admissibility of consumer-generated processing commands depending on the respective classified security level and in the case of a positive test: - processing the measurement data (MD) on the basis of the checked as permissible processing instructions for generating an analysis result data record (AE) and - transmitting the analysis result data record (AE) to the consumer (K).
