Development of qualitative simulation system using typical patterns

For decision-making in organizations, grasping behavior of the target arising from a policy through modeling causal relations between problems and policies with a structural model is useful. However, it is difficult to quantify the causal relations between problems in organizations. Therefore, we developed a qualitative simulation system, which is able to envisage behavior of such qualitative models. This system aims at being a total system for support of decision making through qualitative simulation. The user interface for result presentation is important. Therefore, we designed this system to express simulation results in the form of visual graphs. We adopt new graph display modes so that the user can easily understand simulation results.<<ETX>>
