Sensitivity of Generation Reliability Indices to Generator Parameter Variations

The paper presents efficient methods for calculating the sensitivities of the common single-area generation system reliability indices of loss-of-load expectation and the frequency and duration of cumulative margin events to variations in generator parameters. The methods presented are useful in quantifying the effects of generator parameter uncertainties and in providing rapid new solutions for reliability indices given postulated changes in generator parameters.
