Study on Dynamic Softening Standard of Soft Soil under Breakwater with Rubble Mound Foundation

Taking the example of Yangtze River Estuary Improvement Phase II Project,the study on a standard to distinguish the possibility of dynamic softening of soft soil in this area is given.Through the analysis on the distributing relationship among the deadweight stress,additional static stress and additional dynamic stress of the underlying soil for the three typical cross-sections with different settlements under the action of waves,the prelimi-nary standards distinguishing the dynamic softening of soft soil possibly occuring in this area are put forward.
