Rapid and Compact Optical Measurement System for Photosynthesis Ability Using LED Excitation

A rapid and compact optical measurement system for photosynthesis ability is proposed,which using light-emitting diode(LED) excitation by means of delayed fluorescence(DF).The system takes AT89c55 single-chip microcomputer as control center to carry out data acquisition and processing of DF and uses area integral under DF attenuation dynamics curve as evaluation method.It can achieve DF of plant using channel photomultiplier DC-module(CPDM) with high sensitivity and singnal-to-noise ratio basing on ultra-weak luminescence detection technique.The system has its LED illumination power and temperature control.Locale live survey can be realized by hermetic darkroom design and battery power supply.The results show that measurement precision of the system can reach ±0.3 μmol CO_2 m~ -2 ·s~ -1 ,and has a lot of values such as low cost,high accuracy and good reliability and convenience.It will be a practical measurement system for photosynthesis ability and have wide application foreground.
