Phone book auto resister apparatus and method for image call

An automatic phone book registration device for an image call and a method are provided to register a sender image downloaded as an image call is received in a phone book, thus a user is able to see the downloaded sender image when using the phone book. A receiving module(40) receives multimedia data registered in a URL(Uniform Resource Locator) of an image call. A searching module(50) searches whether a sender of the image call is registered in a phone book(61). If the multimedia data is registered in a data memory(62) of the searched phone book(61), a registration selector asks a user whether to register the multimedia data in the phone book(61). If the multimedia data is not registered in the data memory(62), a phone book module(60) stores the multimedia data of the image call, which is stored in a memory(41) of the receiving module(40), in the data memory(62) of the searched phone book(61).
