Experiment of Meteorological Disaster Monitoring on Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

Sugarcane as a tropical crop, is vulnerable to flood and gale accompanied typhoons or short-time strong convective weather process. the use of drones to carry out relevant monitoring work, timely for sugarcane planting management provide a quantitative visual evaluation, help to improve sugarcane planting management scientific and information level, so as to reduce the losses caused by disasters. This paper takes “Sweet Light” high yield & high sugar content base of sugarcane in Fusui county Chongzuo city Guangxi province as the test area, respectively in June 8, 2016 and October 21st on the main part of the base to carry out UAV monitoring test of flood water and lodging situation, the statistics of ponding area and lodging, and carried out a followup observation. The results show that the great influence caused by ponding from strong precipitation and terrain factors of on the growth of sugarcane, in long-time ponding area, sugarcane crop failures, to improve the situation needed Land leveling; on the other hand, sugarcane in stem elongation have self recovery ability, the influence of gale on yield is very small.
