System resources and monitoring method in a water distribution network

A computerized method for monitoring a water distribution system, the water distribution network comprising a network of pipes for supplying water to the consumers and a plurality of counters placed in the pipes in the water distribution network. The method includes receiving data counter representing parameters measured by the counters, such as flow, pressure, level of chlorine, pH and the turbidity of the water distributed by the pipes. The method also includes receiving secondary data from external sources to the counters and representative conditions affecting the consumption of water in an area served by the water distribution network, such as the weather and the holidays. Meter data and secondary data were analyzed using statistical techniques to identify events of the water system including type of flight events and other events concerning the quantity and quality of water flowing through the pipes and operation of the water network. The events are reported to the user via a user interface.
