Performance Analysis of a Novel Pseudo-Random-Binary Phase-Code and Linear Frequency Modulation Combined Signal

One new pulse compression radar signal obtained by combining linear frequency modulation (LFM) waveform with binary pseudo-random sequences is discussed.The signal expression is presented. Several main characteristics of the radar signal are analyzed ,such as the ambiguity function and the low probability of interception.Theoretical analysis and computer simulation show that the combined waveform has many advantages like good range resolution,fine anti-gamming,low LPl (low probability of intercept) .
