Digital/Analog converter and source drive circuit of an LCD using the same

PURPOSE: A digital/analog converter and a source driving circuit of LCD using the same are provided to perform a scaling of 2n about an output current of D/A converter of a current driving method, and makes 8-bit D/A converter by in parallel connecting a current cells having eight self-calibration functions. CONSTITUTION: D/A converter includes a voltage provider for generating many voltages. In a main current source, a current is generated by a voltage from the voltage provider, output direction is determined by a mode, and a current output is determined by input data. In auxiliary current source, if a calibration mode is set, an output signal of the main current source is fed back and a data about the output level is recorded. If the general mode is set, the auxiliary current source adjusts an output signal of the main current source. The current cells having the main current source and the auxiliary current cell make a parallel construction therebetween, and have a common output line.
