The invention discloses an energy-saving mail box which comprises a control mainboard, a door lock control module, a keyboard, an operating display, a cell for power supply and an activation button; the control mainboard is provided with a Linux system, and is connected with the door lock control module, the keyboard and the operating display through an ACPI (Advanced Configuration and Power Interface) in the Linux system; the activation button is connected with the control mainboard; the control mainboard is used for making a sleeping instruction when recognizing that no operation is performed by a person to turn off the power connection of an external device, and storing current data into a memory or a hard disk on the control mainboard, and is also used for sending an awakening instruction when detecting that the activation button is pressed to restore the power connection of the external device and reading the data stored in the memory or the hard disk on the control mainboard. The energy-saving mail box provided by the invention is capable of greatly reducing power consumption and providing a long-time object storage and take service for a user.
