Method and apparatus for embedded system design using target independent model

PURPOSE: An embedded system design apparatus and a method thereof using a target independent model supplying environment are provided to supply the environment actively supporting the reuse of the existing embedded system. CONSTITUTION: A target dependence model expresses a target dependence model definition language in a UML diagram form. A modeling tool writes out the diagram using UML. The modeling tool offers an interface tag(204) exhibiting the resources item for extracting the target independence model. The modeling tool performs the series of process step till changing the target independence model into the target cascade model.
