Various applications of low-cost phased array antennas with mechanical phase shifters

A new mechanical phase shifter, a new phased array antenna using the phase shifter and its applications will be shown. The structure of new phase shifter is simpler than previous one we had presented which can reduce a cost and a size of the phased array antenna. The advantage in cost contributes to realize new applications adopting phased array antennas. The front of this paper explains the principle of the phase shifter, and three candidates for applications are shown in the end of this paper.
