Wide-band quadrature power divider with π-type compensation circuit

This letter presents a wide-band quadrature power divider with π type compensation circuit. The proposed quadrature power divider consists of two λg/4 short stubs to maintain 90° phase difference in operation band and series resonance circuit to compensate amplitude mismatches with short stub followed by Wilkinson power divider. The proposed structure is designed by analysis of the equivalent circuit and optimized by simulation. The experimental results show that the band-width of 10 dB return-loss at input and output port is 1.2 GHz (0.8~2.0 GHz, 85.7%), output port isolation is more than 10 dB and amplitude/phase imbalances are less than 0.5dB/ ±5° in the frequency range.
