The formation of nonaqueous polymeric dispersions, solutions, hydrosols and colloidal suspensions by polymerizing vinyl monomers (I) in a hydrocarbon medium containing dissolved therein a stabilizing macromonomer component (II) comprising a polyester-aziridine derivative previously formed from poly-12-hydroxy stearic acid (IIA) and a compound (IIB) selected from the group consisting of compounds of the formula O PARALLEL CH2=C-C-OCH2CH2-N; PARALLEL R1 m or p-CH2=CHCH2-N; and m or p-CH2=CHCH2CH2-N and WHERE R1 is hydrogen or CH3, R2 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, and R3 is hydrogen or lower alkyl.
