Optimal Design of Electromagnet in HSST Vehicle's Levitation System

In this paper,the deformation of HSST(high speed surface transport) maglev vehicles' suspension electromagnet and the change of electromagnetic levitation force were analyzed by using the analytical solution.According to the analysis,the improvement of the electromagnet was proposed.In order to acquire accurate calculation results of levitation force and deformation about electromagnet,FEM(finite element method)was applied.Simulation results verify that the improved suspension electromagnet working can provide greater lift-to-weight ratio and smaller deformation.
