Strukturgleichungsmodellierung mit LISREL, AMOS und SmartPLS: Eine Einführung (An Introduction to Structural Equation Modeling with LISREL, AMOS and SmartPLS)

English Abstract: Structural equation modeling (SEM) has become a significant statistical method for empirical hypothesis testing in various behavioral and social science disciplines, including marketing. This paper attempts to improve understanding of SEM and provides guidance for choosing between covariance-based and variance-based approaches. The discussion paper is aimed at students of the behavioral and social sciences in higher semesters and young scholars. It shall guide creating your own analyses and facilitate the interpretation of scientific work involving SEM. The paper considers three applications, LISREL, AMOS and SmartPLS.
