Integrated supply chain management of process industry

Characteristics of process industry and the situation of the application of SCM in process industry are discussed. It's proposed that process industry must establish a integrated supply chain management(ISCM)model with consideration of its own characteristics. Process enterprises should take three steps to establish its integrated supply chain optimization in order to gain its overall optimization in the whole life cycle: models running on the three different hierarchies established respectively according to the hierarchical model; models linked to form a integrated hierarchical model; global optimization obtained by using appropriate optimal algorithm. Maximum profit can only be obtained by fully utilizing hardware and software resources. Main content of ISCM research is also discussed.
