Wind energy from ship to shore

Abstract Ship-mounted wind turbines can be used not only for the propulsion of the ship but also for energy to be sent ashore. There are many potential wind-energy customers where suitable on-shore sites are difficult or unavailable, yet suitable protected ship anchorages exist. Various possibilities for such sites are considered. The selected option is an inclined-axis machine in a ship on a swinging mooring.
