Extended state observer based mismatched turbulence disturbance rejection for air-breathing hypersonic vehicle

In this paper, a novel generalized extended state observer based control (GESOBC) method is proposed for air-breathing hypersonic vehicle (AHSV) with turbulence disturbances. The dynamic mathematical model with the unmatched turbulence disturbances is established and linearized at operation points. Then a novel generalized extended state observer (GESO) is proposed, which reconstructs the turbulence disturbances. Furthermore, the controller is designed based on the estimated information, which guarantees that all the signals in the closed loop system is bounded and the output signals (the velocity and the flight path angle of AHSV) go to zero asymptotically, i.e., the turbulence disturbances are removed from the output channels in steady state. Finally, the simulation example based on a AHSV is used to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed approaches.
