This thesis presents new interactive computational analysis method for Cheomseongdae based on graphic statics. Thrust lines are used to clearly visualize the compressive forces within the masonry. Also, thrust line analysis can be performed accurately and rapidly using the program ‘Cabri Geometry Ⅱ Plus’ which is improved computational tool. Besides the experiment introduced Hooke's Hanging Chain is made in the way of computing the weight of Cheomseongdae’s each layer and express an arched structure. Through the computational analysis and the experiment ‘Hooke’s Hanging Chain’, it is seen that theoretically stable arched shape is concord with the geometrical figure of Cheomseongdae. Three-dimensional problems are analyzed using the same methods.
