An algorithm of radar deception jamming suppression based on blind signal separation

This paper presents a suppression method based on blind signal separation (BSS) to counter radar deception jamming in the single channel. Firstly, the mixed signal is extracted and separated into two signals by the joint approximate diagonalization of eigenmatrices (JADE) BSS technology. And then the target and deception jamming are sorted and identified by the characters of phase quantization. Finally, the experiments are done to validate the effective of the proposed algorithm. Under the condition of 4 quantization bits and signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) > 20dB, the probability of identification is over 90%, the similarity coefficients of target echo for linear frequency modulation (LFM) and binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) radar are over 90% and 85%, respectively.
