Investigation of Digital Control Strategy for Isolated Type Power Factor Correction Converter

The operation principle of the main circuit is briefly analyzed and the small-signal dynamic mathematic model is concluded. Based on the controller of TMS320LF2407A, control strategy for the isolated type PFC converter is analyzed in detail. Dual-closed-loop control strategy is adopted, furthermore, both excellent dynamic characteristic and steady modulating characteristic are achieved. Finally, an experimental prototype, whose PFC operation frequency is 110kHz, is built to verify the performance of the converter. Furthermore, PF value of full load is 0.995.
