EVALUATION OF ACCELERATED CONCRETE AS A RAPID SETTING HIGHWAY REPAIR MATERIAL
暂无分享,去创建一个
Accelerating admixtures used in combination with portland cement concrete are widely used as rapid setting highway repair materials. There are a wide variety of accelerators available, most of which contain calcium chloride. Several non-chloride type accelerators have recently become available due to corrosin problems which have been associated with the use of calcium chloride accelerators. The behavior of these accelerators is not as well known. This report provides an evaluation of the performance of five different types of accelerators. Four of these are non-chloride type accelerators. Both laboratory tests and actual field repairs were used to evaluate the performance of these accelerators as rapid setting highway repair materials. The effect of temperature and brand of cement on the effectiveness of the accelerators was also investigated. (Author)
