A robust speed control of a doubly fed induction generator using in WECS by the nonlinear backstepping controller

In this paper we present a modeling and a robust nonlinear control model of a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) using in a wind energy conversion system (WECS). To achieve the maximum of the power extracted from the generator we have continuously adjust the mechanical speed of the DFIG to the wind speed, the proposed control is based on the nonlinear Backstepping approach associate to Lyapunov function in order to ensure stability system. To evaluate and improve the performance and robustness of the proposed model the simulation results are tested and presented under MATLAB/SIMULINK in terms of following reference.
