Application of contingency theory to cloud computing: a strategy for enhancing research and learning in the Nigerian universities

The Aim Of This Paper Is To Study Application Of Cloud Computing On Enhancing Research And Learning In The Nigerian University. The state of higher education in Africa calls for a paradigm shift in the current approach towards technology adoption because the institutions are currently not playing any significant role in the area of technological development and advancement or in the area of global research and learning in ICT. Application of cloud computing to learning and research adapted from misnevs and fila was used for this study. With this adoption flexible teaching environment could be facilitated by cloud technology as it could enable African universities to access various shared services and modern technology which could be applied in the area of computer laboratory research, library, e- learning courses and social interactions.
