Voltage flicker assessment of 15.3kWp grid connected photovoltaic systems

This paper presents prediction of voltage flicker (Short Term Flicker and Long Term Flicker) on Grid Connected Photovoltaic (GCPV) power system towards Malaysia climate variations (solar irradiance) by using Mathematical model. The actual and prediction data measurement were analyzed under three different types of GCPV systems that installed in Green Energy Research Centre (GERC), University of Technology MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam Selangor, Malaysia. Each system works with different types of solar cell technologies, array configuration, mounting structure, total PV capacity and grid inverters. The prediction and detail analysis of voltage flicker is carried out by using MathCAD software. The results obtained show a good agreement between prediction and actual data.
