Structural Selection and Rail Design

This chapter deals with the structural selection and design of rail members of high-speed turnouts. First, the principle of structural selection is introduced, which requires high-speed turnouts to meet the requirements of ride safety, quality and reliability, manufacturing feasibility, laying convenience and maintainability, and technological maturity and reliability. Second, the study of structural selection and rail member design is discussed. Finally, the technical and manufacturing requirements for high-speed railway rails are introduced.
