It has been reported that the clinical course of patients with non-invasive mucin hypersecreting carcinoma of the pancreas is favorable, whereas that with invasive mucin hypersecreting carcinoma of the pancreas is as dismal as usual pancreatic carcinomas. In this case report, we recommend a complete resection even for invasive mucin hypersecreting carcinoma of the pancreas that can provide a long survival.
