Application of genetic algorithm to optimize the impact resistance of composite laminates

The impact resistance of composite fan hood is of great significance to improve the safety of engine. Taking the fiber reinforced resin matrix composite laminate for Aeroengine fan case as the research object, the maximum loss kinetic energy of impact body as the objective function, and the fiber ply angle as the design variable, the impact resistance of the fiber reinforced composite laminate was optimized. ABAQUS finite element software is used to simulate the high velocity impact of composite laminates, and genetic algorithm is used to optimize the design, and the optimal stacking method is obtained. Through the optimization design, the impact resistance of fiber reinforced composite laminates has been greatly improved.
