Report of 3 histopathologically documented cases of syringocystadenoma papilliferum involving the eyelid

None of these theories have been substantiated. The main histopathologic differential diagnosis is in-fection, foreign-body reaction, Crohn disease, or sar-coidosis. Crohn disease may be indistinguishable histo-pathologically, and the diagnosis requires clinicalcorroboration, whereas the granulomata of sarcoidosistend to be more conspicuous.
