Building from Waste

Accordingto the US-based Worldwatch Institute , the world?s growing population andprosperity will double the annual production of municipal solid waste by 2025,from today?s 1.3 to 2.6 billion tonnes. Will we be able to activate thismaterial for urban construction? If so, the concept of a circular metabolismcould emerge, whereby the city is constantly producing the matter it needs togrow without exploiting natural resources.
