Diurnal performance of thermosyphonic solar water heaters—An empirical prediction method

Abstract Many operational multiple-pass, natural-circulation, solar-energy, water-heaters exhibit, in practice, an approximately constant temperature differential between the inlet and outlet of the solarenergy collector. This characteristic is employed to develop a technique which facilitates the prediction of such a system's performance. This method has been validated by comparison of predicted and experimentally observed behaviours.
