Design and implementation of an integrated office automation / geographic information system rural E-government system

This paper designed a synthesized rural E-government system for use at the municipal to village levels. All the everyday information management functions are included in the system, such as social and public affairs, resources, financial transactions and so on. Because of the integration of office automation and geographical information system, the system can query the information in detail and provide an easy-to-use management platform for data management and external publicity. The three-tier software structure and some unique design skills are used in the system to improve the development efficiency and the system robustness.
