Transforming Musical Notations for Universal Access

Some disabilities can be assisted by using alternative notations and alternative input methods. This chapter describes a system for transforming between different musical notations, which can be customised to an individual’s requirements, hence supporting many unusual needs that did not specifically have to be accounted for in the initial design. The customisation is brief, which encourages experimentation because new ideas can be explored more quickly.
