A SHORT-RANGE ROAD TO VEHICLE MICROWAVE COMMUNICATIONS LINK FOR AUTOMATIC DEBITING AND OTHER RTI SERVICES

This paper reports on the requirements of a two-way data link between a roadside interrogator and a vehicle-mounted transponder with microwave components. This is part of the PAMELA project, designed to develop an acceptable Pan-European system for automatic debiting in a road environment.
